Bharti Airtel net profit Rs284 cr in June quarter

Bharti Airtel on Tuesday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 284 crore for the June quarter against a loss of Rs 15,933 crore in the year-ago period. Airtel’s total revenue surged 15.3% year-on-year to Rs 26,854 crore during the first quarter ended June 30, according to a company statement.

Airtel’s average realisation per customer measured in terms of ARPU — a key metric for telecom firms — was at Rs 146 in the just-ended quarter, compared to Rs 138 in Q1 FY21. — PTI

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
