Bharti Space Ltd will further invest over $170 million in French satellite operator Eutelsat Communications SA through a rights offering as part of the latter’s €$1.75 billion capital raising plan, the Starlink competitor said in a statement on Thursday.

With this, Bharti’s shareholding in Eutelsat would get revised to 17.8%. The French government will become the largest shareholder with a 29.65% stake.
