Mumbai: The BSE smallcap and midcap indices ended the 2024-25 fiscal on a positive note amid a strong rebound this month, driven by a largely optimistic trend in the stock market, impressive retail investors’ participation and better valuations. In FY24-25, the BSE smallcap gauge jumped 3,471.79 points or 8 per cent while the midcap index climbed 2,209 points or 5.61 per cent.

Regulator suggests lower tariffs for CNG

New Delhi: The oil and gas regulator PNGRB has proposed a new policy of how tariffs for pipelines carrying gas to users will be determined, and proposed charging city gas entities selling CNG and piped cooking gas to households at the lowest rates. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has floated a public consultation document for changing the zonal tariffs levied on the pipelines.

Renault to buy 51% stake in Nissan JV

New Delhi: French auto major Renault on Monday said it will buy out its Japanese partner Nissan’s 51 per cent stake in their Indian manufacturing joint venture — Renault Nissan Automotive India Private Ltd — for an undisclosed amount. The JV firm operates the alliance’s Chennai-based production facility, which rolls out models for both Renault and Nissan brands. Upon completion, Renault will own 100 % of the JV.
