CII Northern Region applauds GST reforms, cites manufacturing benefits

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region has welcomed the next-generation GST reforms announced by the Union Government, noting their potential to strengthen competitiveness, ease compliance, and stimulate growth across key sectors.

Anjali Singh, chairperson of CII Northern Region and executive chairperson of ANAND Group, said, “The next-generation GST reforms are a landmark step in simplifying compliance, boosting transparency, and enhancing the ease of doing business across sectors. These reforms will not only strengthen investor confidence but also provide a strong boost to demand and growth in the economy.”

Puneet Kaura, deputy chairperson of CII Northern Region, and MD and CEO of Samtel Avionics, said, “The reforms are a positive step for high-technology and defence-linked manufacturing. By easing compliance and rationalising tax structures, the government has given industry greater confidence to invest in advanced capabilities.”
