We live in a country where cows are not just livestock, but people consider them to be their family members. The dairy industry forms the backbone of the rural economy of India. Yet, despite 80 million Dairy Farmers contributing to the world's largest milk-producing country, the sector remains plagued with inefficiencies, cattle neglect, and a lack of tech-driven support.

Venugopal Naidu Puvvada, the founder of DairyKhata, an AI-first Dairytech Platform, is addressing these deep-rooted challenges in association with Rashtriya Gau Sevak Sangh (RGSS) and is changing the way India manages its cattle and dairy farm.

The Turning Point with Dairykhata: From Distress to Disruption The inspiration behind DairyKhata was personal and emotional. Venugopal Naidu Puvvada, founder of DairyKhata, recalls the moments vividly, "During a visit to a village in Andhra Pradesh, I saw over 45 non-milking cows abandoned on the roadside. These cows were once seen as milk-yielding assets but were now seen as liabilities. That broke my heart and stayed with me for a long time.

I knew right then- we needed a system that supports dairy farmers even when the cows stop producing milk." Venugopal Naidu Puvvada further added, "After doing further research on the dairy industry and its challenges, I realized that 90% of the dairy industry is unorganized.

The tech was the solution to bridge the gap and resolve the challenges dairy farmers were facing. After visiting 100 villages with my team and spending 3 years in deep research and interacting with thousands of gaupaalaks and dairy farmers, I came up with Dairykhata, and I knew back then that it would change the game for dairy farmers and see how it lived up to the expectations." With his solid background and over 20 years of experience in tech, as well as his association with Rashtriya Gau Sevak Sangh and Hindrise as a Trustee, he believes that cow protection and improving the lives of dairy farmers go hand in hand through data, transparency, and intelligent tools.

Venugopal Naidu's Digital Leap with Dairykhata Launched with a mission to empower Gaushalas and dairy farmers digitally, DairyKhata is a powerful AI-powered ecosystem developed for ease and profit doubling for farmers and Gaushala Sanchalaks.

Shedding light on Dairykhata, Founder Venugopal Naidu Puvvada said, "Today, DairyKhata handles over 2.5 million animal records. It tracks 5,00,000 litres of milk production daily. Furthermore, it helps in managing ₹100 crore in annual farmer transactions. A dairy farmer using Dairykhata knows the exact cost of raising each cow, the profit per litre of milk, and even receives vaccination reminders, all on a basic smartphone. That's the power of data when it is built for the grassroots." The features of Dairykhata include a cattle health dashboard, timely vaccination reminders, Bloodline details, Gaushala Management with multi-cattle tracking, income expense logs with real-time alerts, Milking vs. non-milking cow records, Customer order and delivery scheduling, production and insight dashboards, farmer and supplier ledger system, etc.

Venu's Vision in Alignment with PM Modi's Vision of Doubling Farmer Income One of the most ambitious goals set by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is to double the income of Indian farmers. Venugopal Naidu Puvvada believes that his vision is in alignment with PM Modi's vision of doubling farmer income and profit maximization.

Venugopal Naidu Puvvada added, "As Modiji said, farmer income can't double without managing input costs and improving productivity. We have made that happen through DairyKhata.

With the help of DairyKhata software and app, farmers are saving ₹1,200–₹1,500 per cow every month by reducing medical emergencies, eliminating human errors, and improving feed planning. That's an annual saving of ₹18,000 per cow. So, you can just imagine the healthy numbers for 20 crore cattle in India." A Cow-centric Economy with Tech at its Core Venugopal Naidu Puvvada's work is a movement of Gauseva Through the smart farmer initiative. Venugopal Naidu Puvvada said," Through Rashtriya Gau Sevak Sangh, we are conducting Gau-samarthan drives and software integration programs in 10,000 villages. Every time a farmer logs data about his cow's health and tracks milk output using DairyKhata software, he's stepping into the future. We have not just built a product, but we have developed a Gau-based economic model where every cow becomes an asset, not a burden." With active users in 20 Indian states and expansion plans in the Middle East and European Countries, Dairykhata aims to be the world’s most farmer-friendly dairy tech platform. “By 2027, we want to digitize 50 million cows and aim for a ₹10,000 crore economic impact through optimized productivity, savings, and improved cattle welfare. When you give a farmer control over his cows, his costs, and his customers, you are helping him grow his revenue and revive Bharat’s ancient wisdom with modern tools. That’s what Dairykhata is all about.” Venugopal Naidu Puvvada walked away after this statement.

Dairykhata has emerged as a beacon of gau-preneurship, where tradition and technology share an incredible bond, and every farmer becomes an empowered entrepreneur.
