ED notice to nine entities for FEMA violation

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday said it has issued show-cause notices to nine entities for FEMA violation of Rs 905 crore for indulging in speculative dealings of future currency derivatives in alleged violation of the RBI guidelines. They were involved in speculative dealings of future currency derivative contracts without having any underlying contract or exposure in foreign currency. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
