Gold prices jumped Rs 400 to hit a fresh record high of Rs 85,300 per 10 grams in the national capital on Monday on the back of continued demand by jewellers and stockists, according to the All India Sarafa Association.

Volkswagen moves HC over $1.4 bn tax notice

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has filed a case in the Bombay High Court against the tax authorities over the Rs 11,000 crore (about USD 1.4 billion) show-cause notice for alleged customs duty fraud related to the import of cars as completely knocked down units.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
