Adidas Runners is a global community that brings together people from diverse backgrounds with a shared commitment to becoming better runners and individuals. The Delhi chapter has established itself as a close-knit network of fitness enthusiasts, and this collaboration brings that same culture and energy into the university setting.
The partnership reflects IILM’s focus on student development that extends beyond academics, enabling students to cultivate resilience, balance, and a sense of community. By placing students at the helm of the Adidas Running Club, the initiative also nurtures leadership, accountability, and peer learning for lasting impact.
The launch of the club was marked by the Adidas 5K Challenge, held on 30th August 2025. The event brought together students, faculty, and community members in a spirited run that celebrated endurance, inclusivity, and shared participation. The energy of the 5K set the foundation for a long-term programme of regular fitness sessions and events on campus.
Building on this momentum, the collaboration will continue with guided sessions led by experienced marathoners and coaches, offering students and faculty training support, expert guidance on running techniques, and wellness practices. The initiative will also focus on women’s empowerment on campus through involvement in ongoing efforts by Adidas Runners, including the ‘With Women We Run’ programme, which provides safe and supportive spaces and tailored events to encourage active participation in fitness.
Beyond running, the partnership will include workshops, speaker panels, and webinars designed to provide professional advice and community support, with opportunities for co-hosting major events at IILM’s sports venues. Select students will also be appointed as Adidas Runners Campus Ambassadors, tasked with leading outreach, organising activities, and building a vibrant running culture across the university.
The initiative encourages students to bring along peers, friends, and family, extending its impact beyond campus. Exclusive running events will also be offered to neighbouring institutions, fostering a wider culture of wellness and participation across the academic community.
Through the Adidas Running Club, IILM University, and Adidas Runners aim to embed movement, health, and inclusivity into daily campus life, preparing students not only for academic success but also for growth, resilience, and well-being over the long run.
