Budget airline SpiceJet on Wednesday reported a profit after tax of Rs 26 crore for the three months ended December 2024, helped by overall improved performance."Total revenue surged by 35 per cent to Rs 1,651 crore, driven by strong passenger demand, improved yields and enhanced operational efficiency. Passenger Load Factor (PLF) stood at an impressive 87 per cent," the airline said.

Airtel in talks with Tata to merge DTH business

Bharti Airtel on Wednesday said it is in talks with Tata Group for the merger of its loss-making direct-to-home (DTH) business. Airtel is holding discussions with the salt-to-software conglomerate for the merger of Bharti Telemedia, which offers cable and satellite TV services, with Tata Play, according to a regulatory filing from firm.

Higher tariffs to hike domestic airfares at Delhi airport: DIAL

The proposed tariff hike at the Delhi airport will result in a 1.5 to 2 per cent increase in domestic airfares for passengers, according to a top official. The Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), which is operating the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in the national capital, has proposed different user fees for economy and business class passengers as well as for peak and off-peak hours.
