Information Technology major Infosys on Wednesday reported a stronger-than-expected quarterly profit, as the software services firm managed to secure large client deals during the Covid pandemic.

It’s net profit climbed to 42.33 billion rupees in the June quarter, from 37.98 billion rupees a year earlier. Revenue rose 8.5% to 236.65 billion rupees. — Reuters

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
