Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday reported a 33.1 per cent jump in its net profit in the quarter that ended on December 31, 2023, at Rs 3,130 crore as compared to Rs 2,351.3 crore in the previous year on the back of strong demand for its sport utility vehicles (SUVs) segment.

During the quarter, the company registered net sales of Rs 31, 860 crore against Rs 27,849.2 crore in the same period of the previous year.

The company sold 5,01,207 vehicles during the quarter. Despite the small car segment continuing to be subdued, the company registered sales of 4,29,422 units in the domestic market. The company exported 71,785 cars, its highest-ever in any quarter.
