Passenger vehicle wholesales in India breached the 40 lakh- mark in a year for the first time in 2023, riding on the back of robust demand for utility vehicles, industry body SIAM said on Friday. As many as 41,01,600 units were sold as compared to 37,92,444 units in 2022. PTI

Wipro Q3 net profit falls 11.7% to Rs 2,694 crore
IT company Wipro on Friday posted an 11.74% decline in its net profit to Rs 2,694.2 crore in the third quarter. Revenue from operations fell 4.4% to Rs 22,205.1 crore as against Rs 23,229 crore a year ago. PTI

Forex reserves decline by $5.9 bn to $617.30 bn
India’s foreign exchange reserves fell by $5.9 billion (about Rs 50,000 crore) to $ 617.30 billion during the week ended January 5, according to the RBI data released on Friday. This is the first major fall in forex reserves that had been growing at a steady rate for the past seven weeks.
