SJVN posts record generation, higher profits in FY25; Targets 13,090 MU, Rs12,000 Cr Capex for FY2

The company recorded its highest-ever power generation of 10,647 MU across operational projects. Flagship 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station and 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station posted record quarterly, monthly and single-day outputs, while the 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Power Station surpassed design energy in its first year.
SJVN’s revenue from operations rose to Rs 2,897.25 crore from Rs 2,533.59 crore in FY 2023–24, while standalone PAT increased to Rs 970.18 crore from Rs 908.40 crore. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.31 per share, taking the total payout to Rs 1.46 per share.
The year also saw SJVN achieve Navratna status and add 691 MW capacity, taking its installed portfolio to 2,967.52 MW. The first 660 MW unit of the Buxar Thermal Power Project was synchronized with the national grid and inaugurated by the Prime Minister in August 2025.
SJVN spent Rs 31.24 crore on CSR in FY 2024–25 and retained an ‘Excellent’ corporate governance rating. For FY 2025–26, the company has set targets of 13,090 MU generation and Rs 12,000 crore capex.
