TDI Group names two roads after martyr Colonel Babu
Real estate developer TDI Group has named two roads at its projects after Colonel Babu who died on the Line of Actual Control in June this year. Col Babu attained martyrdom on the India-China border while performing duty. The roads, located at TDI City, Mohali, and TDI’s township in Panipat, have been named as Shaheed Col Bikkumalla Santosh Babu Marg.

HDFC Bank unveils ‘Shaurya KGC Card’ for armed forces
HDFC Bank has launched a first-of-its-kind product for the armed forces. Called “Shaurya KGC Card”, this unique product comes with never-seen-before features and eligibility criteria specially crafted for over 45 lakh armed forces personnel. The product is based on the Kisan Credit Card guidelines by the government. The key benefits include life cover of Rs 10 lakh as against Rs 2 lakh for an average card.
Insecticides India Ltd to market ‘Chaperone’ in India
Agrochemical company Insecticides (India) Ltd (IIL) has launched ‘Chaperone’ — a plant growth regulator developed by OAT Agrio Co. Ltd., Japan. Chaperone is powered by nitrophenolates that improve photosynthesis, increase blooming of flowers and yield of crops. It increases the cytoplasmic growth of the plant by up to 15% and allows them to absorb more water and nutrients from the soil.
Code Brew Labs to hire psychologists for staff
Amid the Covid pandemic, Code Brew Labs is getting psychologists on board for its 600 employees to deal with their anxiety problems. This was disclosed by Aseem Ghavri, CEO & founder, Code Brew Labs. The decision was taken after a news report in a leading daily that suicide was the major cause for over 300 “non-coronavirus deaths” reported in India due to the anxiety triggered by the nationwide lockdown.
BSNL’s advisory to business entities for communication
In accordance with telecom regulator TRAI’s guidelines named as TCCCPR 2018, BSNL has said all business entities who want to send commercial communication to their customers have to register themselves as Principal entity mandatorily on BSNL DLT portal www.ucc-bsnl.co.in.
Sunil Duggal appointed Vedanta chief executive
Vedanta Ltd has appointed Sunil Duggal, former CEO of Hindustan Zinc Ltd., as its chief executive officer. Earlier, in March 2020, Duggal was given additional charge as Vedanta’s Interim CEO. Former Tata Steel vice- president and head of mining, Arun Misra, has succeeded him as CEO of Hindustan Zinc Ltd.
LG Electronics India donates Rs1 crore under CSR initiative
LG Electronics celebrated Independence Day by announcing its contribution under ‘KarSalaam – A CSR initiative’. Under this initiative, the company will donate Rs 1 crore to Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF) under Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariat – a nodal organisation of the Government of India, Ministry of Defence. AFFDF is dedicated to welfare of war widows, children of martyrs, war disabled soldiers and ex-servicemen.

NFL, Nangal, celebrates Independence Day
National Fertilizers Limited, Nangal Unit, celebrated 74th Independence Day at NFL Stadium, Naya Nangal.
