NFL’s sale reaches all-time high in April-July

NFL’s fertiliser sale has touched a new high of 18.79 lakh MT in April-July 2020, recording a growth of over 20% than the previous best of 15.64 LMT recorded during the same period last year. This includes the sale of urea, DAP, MoP, NPK, SSP, and bentonite sulphur during the period under review. Out of this, the sale of company’s core product — urea — has registered a sale of 15.87 lakh MT, up 17% than in corresponding period last year.

Dr Bhanwala is Capital India Finance chief

Capital India Finance Ltd has announced the appointment of Dr Harsh Kumar Bhanwala, an industry veteran and former Nabard chairman, as the executive chairman of the Board with effect from August 6. Prior to this, he was the Nabard chairman and executive director of India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd. (IIFCL). He also served as its chairman and managing director from 2012 to 2013.

Paras Hospital holds awareness campaign

To create awareness about the rising trend of liver disease in the region, a team of doctors from Paras Hospital, Panchkula, recently held a conference. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Gaurav Maheshwari, consultant gastroenterologist, said, “Nearly 1.3 million deaths occur annually due to hepatitis worldwide every year. In India, 40 million people are chronically infected with hepatitis B and about 12 million with hepatitis C.” He said there has been a paradigm shift in the diagnosis of liver cirrhosis and about 10 lakh new patients are diagnosed every year in India.
