0001 registration number goes for Rs 22.58 lakh in Chandigarh

The much sought after ‘0001’ vehicle registration number has received the highest amount of Rs 22.58 lakh. The Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA) conducted the e-auction of new series “CH01-DB” from vehicle numbers 0001 to 9999 along with left over fancy/special registration numbers of previous series from October 29 to 31. The RLA fetched a revenue of Rs 2.71 crore.

The registration number CH01-DB-0007 fetched second highest amount Rs 10.94 lakh.

Earlier, the RLA received the highest ever bid of Rs 36.43 lakh for CH01-DA 0001 in August. The second highest bid of Rs 31 lakh was received in May this year.
