Last Monday, only students of Classes X and XII were called to schools.

According to the data collected by the UT Education Department, the government schools recorded an attendance of 1,600 today, whereas the last week’s average attendance was 900 students. The department stated that the attendance was expected to improve in the coming days.

However, no student visited private schools for guidance despite the fact that 25 per cent students had submitted consent forms. Atul Khanna, Director, Strawberry Fields High School, said: “No student has shown up to the school, not even those who submitted consent forms when the school carried out a survey. We are carrying on with online classes.”
