As many as 1,703 beneficiaries were given the Covid-19 vaccine at 54 sites in the city today. Among the total beneficiaries, a maximum of 790 were above 60 years of age, who got their first dose of vaccine. The beneficiaries also included healthcare and frontline workers. Over 71K beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the city so far.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
