10 new cases of Covid-19 in Chandigarh; active cases come down to 149

Chandigarh on Thursday reported 10 new cases of Covid-19 to take the total number of cases to 61,687.

No deaths were reported in the last 24 hours as the death toll remains 808.

The number of active cases in the city has come down to 149 as 22 patients were discharged, including persons from home isolation who have completed 10 days and are asymptomatic, as per Ministry of Health guidelines.

As many as 60,730 patients have been cured till date in the city.

The number of samples tested in the last 24 hours is 1,682.

The number of people who have got the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine is 4,43,730 while 89,930 have received both the doses.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
