Ten students from the district, including nine girls, made it to the PSEB Class X merit list.

Eight of these 10 students are from government schools. As many as 6,150 students had appeared for the examination in the district and 6,047 of them cleared the exams. The district recorded a pass percentage of 98.33.

Manjot Kaur of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Khamano, was the topper of the district with 98.31 per cent marks and Saharab Singh from the same school stood second with 97.69 per cent. Bindia of Government Girls Senior Secondary, Sanghol, was placed third with 97.38 per cent marks.
