Nearly 1,000 police personnel will be deployed during the demolition drive to be carried out at the furniture market in Sector 53 on Sunday.

Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav today reviewed the preparation for the upcoming drive, scheduled to begin at 7 am, during a meeting attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and senior officials of various departments.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed the officials to make comprehensive arrangements for law and order, traffic regulation, fire preparedness and medical assistance .

Approximately 1,000 police personnel will be deployed at the site during the demolition drive. The Police Department has been asked to ensure the presence of both male and female police personnel, and mobilising quick response teams.
