Haryana Deputy Speaker Ranbir Gangwa today felicitated 109 winners of the two-day India Skills 2021 Regional Competition – North, organised by the National Skill Development Corporation.

At the closing ceremony of the competition held at Indradhanush Auditorium, Sector 5, 55 candidates bagged gold medals with a cash prize of Rs21,000 each while 54 others were awarded silver medals and a prize money of Rs11,000 each.

The competition witnessed more than 450 young participants, aged between 19 and 24, from eight states and UTs union territories — Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh — come together and exhibit their potential in over 45 skills.

The skill competitions were held at 14 partner institutes, including 12 in Chandigarh and one each in Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. — TNS
