A school bus ferrying students from Punjab Public School Lehragaga to Chandigarh on a trip collided with a tree on the Sirhind-Chandigarh Road. The bus driver, school principal along with 11 children were injured. All the injured were rushed to a private hospital in Mohali for treatment.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Khushpreet Singh said three school busses were headed to Chandigarh. As soon as one of the buses reached Chunni, it collided with a tree. He said that the police reached the spot and launched an investigation, adding that the condition of all the injured was stable.
