The 108 Ambulance facility has assisted 16,867 people in a year in Mohali, including in 11 deliveries inside the ambulances, officials said.

Manish Batra, the project head for the 108 Ambulance, while sharing further details, said “Since its inception in 2011, the 108 Ambulance service has assisted over 2,938,718 people across the state of Punjab.”

Of the total cases addressed by them, 3,875 were pregnancy-related, highlighting the essential role of ambulances in maternal healthcare.

Additionally, the service responded to 7,019 medical emergencies and recorded its highest number of patients served in a single month—1,619 in August.

Besides, the facility has responded to 1,815 cardiac emergencies, 1,845 road accident cases and 2,313 other critical situations in the past one year.
