An 11-month-old boy died after being crushed by a pick-up jeep while reversing in Kaimbwala village near Nayagaon on Wednesday afternoon.

The boy — Luvkush, only son of Ram Karan, a migrant labourer — was playing near his house when the vehicle crushed him, leaving him dead on the spot. A case has been regisgtered against the driver, Satnam Singh Kumbhra.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
