Few hours after the UT police issued a traffic advisory regarding closing 13 entry and exit points in the wake of farmers’ protest on Saturday, the police decided to withdraw the decision.

There will be no restrictions in movement of traffic through these points.

The police department issued the statement that “press release issued by Traffic Police Chandigarh stands withdrawn. Public is requested to follow the traffic diversions and cooperate with the police”.

Earlier on Friday, Chandigarh Police announced that 13 entry and exit points in the city will remain closed on Saturday (June 26) in view of farmer’s protest.

Mullanpur Barrier, Zirakpur Barrier, Sector 5/8 turn, Hira Singh Chowk, Sector 7/8 turn, Lake turn, Sector 7 residence cut opposite PRB, Golf turn, Gursagar Sahib turn, Moulijagran Bridge, Housing Board near bridge, Kishangarh turn and Matour Barrier entry point will remain closed from 10 am to 6 pm, the Chandigarh Traffic Police had said in the statement.
