Awareness programmes and a survey were conducted in the villages under the Primary Health Centre, Boothgarh. Senior Medical Officer Alakjot Kaur said wherever a case of dengue came to light, health teams went from house to house in the vicinity of that place and sprayed anti-mosquito solution. “The most effective way to avoid a life-threatening disease like dengue is not to allow water to collect anywhere and people have been made aware of this for the past several months,” she said.
