Chandigarh: A 14-year-old girl reportedly committed suicide at her house in Burail, Sector 45, here on Thursday. The victim, identified as Ranjana, was alone at home when she took the extreme step. The police were informed about the incident. The victim was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
