A towering 155-foot effigy of Ravana will go up in flames as part of the grand Dasehra celebrations in Panchkula. Originally planned to be an astounding 181 feet tall, its height had to be shortened by 26 feet after gusty winds caused it to collapse. The last-minute adjustment didn’t dampen the excitement surrounding the event, which remains one of the highlights of the festival in the region.

Despite the challenges posed by unpredictable weather, craftspeople worked tirelessly to reconstruct the effigy, ensuring it remained an impressive spectacle.
