A total of 157 Covid-19 cases surfaced in the district during the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 14,929. No new fatality was reported from the district. Among the fresh cases, 114 were reported from Mohali (urban), two each from Kharar and Kurali, six from Lalru, nine from Dera Bassi, 16 from Gharuan and eight from Dhakoli. Five more patients have been cured of the disease.

There are now 1,753 active cases in the district, while 273 persons have fallen prey to the virus. — TNS
