A 16-year-old girl died after falling off the terrace of her house at Badona Khurd village in Raipur Rani yesterday. The girl has been identified as Simran. She fell off the terrace while she was drying clothes.

She was rushed to a hospital in Raipur Rani where the doctors referred her to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, in Chandigarh. But she succumbed to injuries.

According to the police, she fell off the terrace while she was drying clothes.

Inspector Rampal, Station House Officer of Raipur Rani police station, said after Simran fell off the terrace, members of her family took her to a local hospital. But the doctors referred her to the GMCH in Sector 32, Chandigarh.

The police have denied any foul play in the incident. The body was handed over to the victim’s family after post-mortem.
