19,414 cases disposed of during National Lok Adalat in Mohali

During the National Lok Adalat held in Mohali today, as many as 19,414 cases were disposed of by virtue of compromise while awards of of Rs. 88,65,36,530 were passed by the different Lok Adalat benches.

A total of 21,527 pre-litigative and pending Criminal Compoundable Offences, NI Act cases under Section-138, Bank Recovery Cases, MACT Cases, Matrimonial Disputes, Labour disputes, Land Acquisition cases, Electricity and Water Bills (Excluding non-compoundable theft cases), Service matters relating to pay and allowances and Retiral benefits, Revenue Cases and other Civil Cases were taken up during the National Lok Adalat at the District Courts Mohali and Sub Divisional Courts at Kharar and Derabassi.

A total of 18 benches were constituted at District Headquarter. Besides, five benches at Sub-Division, Kharar had been constituted for Lok Adalat.
