The event was virtually inaugurated by Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani from Delhi and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur from Naduan, Hamirpur.

Politician Sanjay Tandon said 10,548 blood units were collected at 65 camps organised in the past 15 years. “I encouraged youths, organisations, relatives, friends and family members to organise the event at their respective places. I told them when someone gets injured and needs blood, it instantly comes from here only,” said the BJP leader. —
