After completion of the investigation a challan against the accused was filed in the court. Siddhant Pandit and Vikas Rana, counsel for both accused, argued that the complainant had not supported the case of the prosecution and had retracted from his statement given to police. After hearing the arguments the court acquitted the accused of the charges.
