Six armed youths attacked employees of a Baltana hotel with sharp-edged weapons and ransacked the reception of Hotel KC Grand in Baltana on Thursday night.

The police arrested Jind native Mandeep Nain and Monu and booked four others under Sections 115 (2), 110, 351, 323 and 180 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Baltana police post. One of the accused, Monu, worked at the hotel earlier, while Mandeep runs another hotel nearby.

The police said they information about three youths entering the hotel at around 9.30pm and attacking three employees, including a female receptionist and the hotel owner, and ransacking the reception before fleeing.

The trio received serious head injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The police said the two parties had clashed earlier, too. They said an they would investigate the old rivalry.
