The police have arrested two men within an hour of an altercation in Gandhi Colony during which a minor was attacked with a knife. According to the police, the minor was sitting in an auto-rickshaw with an acquaintance when two men approached and asked him for a matchbox. When he refused, the duo began arguing with him. The dispute escalated quickly, and one of the accused allegedly attempted to stab the boy, who narrowly escaped.

A video purportedly showing one of the men brandishing a knife went viral on social media shortly afterwards.

Acting immediately, the Mansa Devi police reached the spot and apprehended both suspects as they attempted to flee.

The investigation, led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Sukhjaint, revealed the accused to be Dinesh Kumar (35), son of Rampal, and Rajkumar (22), son of Bahuri Lal. A case under the Arms Act and other relevant sections has been registered, and the knife used in the incident has been recovered.
