The police arrested two people after recovering a country-made pistol and a live cartridge from them.

ACP (Crime) Arvind Kamboj informed that a patrol team received a tip-off about a youth carrying an illegal firearm in Sector 17. The team led by Inspector Dalip Singh reached the spot and apprehended the suspect, Gurjant Singh, a resident of Budhanpur village.

During his interrogation, Gurjant revealed that he had procured the weapon from another individual. Based on this lead, the police arrested Amar Pal, son of Buddhi Ram, from Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh today.
