The police have arrested two persons, identified as Harmeet Singh and Ravinder Singh, for their involvement in a snatching case.

On February 13, a snatching incident took place in front of the Police Lines. A group of persons robbed the victim of Rs 18,000, a mobile phone, car keys, and bank documents.

According to information, the complainant, Kuldeep Singh, a native of Ambala, reported the incident on February 14. He had stated that while he was travelling alone in his car in the evening, a vehicle, with a temporary number plate, started tailing him and flashing lights. When his car reached the Police Lines, the other vehicle intercepted him. Three unidentified persons got off the vehicle and one of them started arguing with Kuldeep while another brandished a pistol. They threatening him with the pistol and made him open the car trunk. They took away a bag containing cash, documents and the victim’s belongings kept in the car. .

Following the victim’s complaint, the police took action under Sections 379 of the IPC and 25-54-59 of the Arms Act, and started investigation at the Chandimandir station.
