Two local netball players, Tapasya and Kavita, have been selected in the Indian team for the Asian Youth Netball Championship 2025. The tournament will be held at Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium, South Korea, from June 27 to July 4.

Apart from the duo, the other members of the team are Shravani, Gauri, Armandeep, Vidhi, Mahi, Ashna, Aparna, Amritha, Yashasri and Litisha.

Vidhi has been appointed captain of the team, while Chandigarh’s Kavita has been named her deputy. Vikram Aditya Reedy (head coach), Sharayu Jagtap (assistant coach) and Ashok Kumar (manager) have been appointed as officials.

Eleven countries will participate in the championship. India will play against Maldives, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Malaysia, said PS Lamba, general secretary, Netball Sports Promotion Association, Chandigarh.
