Mohali: Two more persons, including a woman, succumbed to Covid-19 in the district during the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 1,087. The deceased were a 78-year-old man from Sector 78 in Mohali and a 60-year-old woman from Mohan Nagar in Dera Bassi subdivision. The man was suffering from hypertension, cancer and heart disease, while the woman was suffering from kidney and heart ailments. The district saw 702 fresh cases, taking the tally to 80,226, while 670 patients were cured of the disease. There are now 7,834 active cases. —
