The suspects have been identified as Jaswinder Singh and Balraj Singh, both residents of Dirba in Sangrur district. The police have also recovered the stolen devices from them.

They were produced in a local court today, which remanded them in one-day police custody.

According to the victim, Anil Kumar (31), a resident of Sector 66, he was going in his car from Chandigarh to his house when the incident took place on July 7. Due to heavy rain, Anil stopped his car on the roadside near Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan, Sohana. In the meantime, the suspects came on a bike and snatched a mobile phone from Anil’s hand. When he tried to catch them, the duo pushed him and also took away his laptop from the car before fleeing from the spot.
