The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali, is hosting the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme. The two-week intensive training programme on ‘Pharmaceutical GMP Audits and Self-Inspections’ is scheduled from August 19 to 30. The inaugural ceremony will take place on August 19 at 11am.

Dulal Panda, Director of NIPER-Mohali, highlighted that 25 participants from 16 countries — Ethiopia, Maldives, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Zimbabwe, Nepal, Tajikistan, Niger, Sierra Leone, Armenia, Malawi, Botswana, and Ghana—will attend the course. Participants of the programme include professionals from drug regulatory bodies, pharmacists, and quality control sectors.

The programme will feature lectures by various experts from the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and regulatory agencies. It will also include four hands-on training sessions on conducting audits and self-inspections at NIPER’s GMP and GLP facilities. The participants will also visit a pharmaceutical industry and an academic institute as part of the programme.
