Mohali, August 1
Two youths were killed and as many injured after a speeding car hit two bikes on the Landran-Fatehgarh Sahib road in Majaat village last night.
The deceased, Sukhwinder Singh (20) and Jashpreet Singh (18) were from Majaat and Jhanjeri village respectively. They were hit by the vehicle from rear. Irate villagers blocked the road and raised slogans against the police for failing to nab the car driver.
They alleged that the car driver, Jasvir Singh of Majaatri village, was under the influence of alcohol. Police officials said a case had been registered. — TNS
