Around 20 poets of Hindi, Punjabi, English and Urdu mesmerised the audience with their choicest verses as the Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi (CSA) celebrated the spirit of New Year with a literary bonanza of Tri Lingual Kavi Sammelan at the UT Guest Hall here today. Senior Urdu poet BD Kalia expressed his wish through a couplet ‘ Kaho saal-e- nau se ke har dil mein jaa ker , Chirag-e-mohabbat Khushi se jalaye’ before other poets brought into focus the contemporary issues of socio-cultural, administration and political relevance ailing the peace and progress of our country.

The eminent poets included Surinder Gill, BD Kalia Hamdam, Yojna Rawat, Jagmohan Chopra, Amarjit Amar, Santosh Dhiman, Lily Swaran, Sushil Dosanjh, Gurminder Sidhu, Deepak Sharma Chanarthal, Prem Vijh, Pragya Sharda, Ashwini Shandley, Ajay Rana and others. — OC
