Even as the UT Administration boasts of opening nine mini-Covid centres in a short span, patients here continue to scramble for ventilator and ICU beds.

Not even a single ICU bed is there at the mini-Covid care centre set up recently.

UT Adviser Manoj Parida said it would be difficult to set up ICU beds at the Covid care centres. Of the 182 ICU beds in the city, including private and government, only 21 are vacant.
