The police seized eight cars, two bikes, a 9mm unlicenced weapon, rods and hockey sticks.
Five gunshots were fired in the air after two groups of youngsters clashed in the wee hours of Monday. No one was injured in the firing, but panic gripped the area after the incident. None of the residents filed a police complaint. They made videos from the balconies of their flats.
The suspects, with faces covered, were arrested from the housing society and taken to the police station in a school bus. Kharar DSP Karan Singh Sandhu said, “The accused were arrested and produced in the court, which granted them bail. No complaint was received from residents, but the lawlessness was caught on CCTV camera.”
The altercation began after a youth rammed his vehicle into the green area, damaging the road berm and ornamental plants at the society.
