A case has been registered against Bhima, Manish, and unknown dumper driver under Sections 186, 307, 332, 34, 353, IPC, and 21(1) and 4(1) of Mines and Minerals (Regulations of development) Act at the Naraingarh police station.

In his complaint to the police, Roshan Lal, a guard of the Mining and Geology Department, stated that he, along with his team, were going towards Toka village around 9 am on Thursday. “On reaching near Taprian village, we saw a dumper loaded with illegally mined gravel going ahead of us. We chased the vehicle and stopped it. Meanwhile, the dumper driver fled from the spot leaving the vehicle behind,” he said.

The complainant further stated that dumper owner Bhima, along with Manish, reached the spot. Bhima started the dumper and with the help of Manish, he offloaded gravel at two-three places, he added. “They manhandled our team, attempted to run over us with his dumper and then fled towards Himachal Pradesh,” he said.—TNS
