Stating this in a release, PSSB Chairman Raman Behl said: “As per the guidelines issued by the Research and Medical Education Department in 2015, registration with the Board of Ayurvedic and Unani System of Medicine, Punjab, is mandatory. So, candidates are advised to get their registration done before the counselling date.”

For the convenience of candidates, the board had given them three weeks to get themselves registered and the counselling had been fixed from December 21, Behl added. The recruitment process was stalled due to a civil writ petition filed by some candidates in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The PSSB Chairman advised students to prepare for the tests. The last date for applying online for the recruitment of Assistant Superintendent of Jails was December 7, said Behl. — TNS
