3 held for smuggling illicit liquor

The police have booked two club owners and arrested three persons for smuggling illicit liquor near the gate of La Vella Bistro Bar, Sector-26.

Cops nabbed Jind resident Sahil Mor, 23, a resident of Mohali; Mohammad Nawaz Sharif Bhatt, 29; and Inderjit Singh, 30, of Buddhanpur Panchkula, and recovered total 32 cartons of liquor of different brands.

The police have als\o impounded the Hyundai Creta car from outside La Vella Club. The accused were loading the liquor into car without any permit.

A case has been registered against them and two other club owners at the Sector 26 police station.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
