3 held with 6 stolen bikes

Mohali, June 15
The police have arrested three suspects and recovered six stolen bikes from them. The suspects have been identified as Bahadurgarh (Patiala) residents Sukhvir Singh, alias Sukha and Ramanpreet Singh, and Balwinder Singh, alias Wrinkle, of Fazlika. The trio has been booked under Sections 379, 411 and 473 of the IPC at the Phase 11 police station. They were produced in a court and remanded in police custody for a day.
The police said the gang members had two stolen motorcycles, which would be traced soon.
During interrogation, it came to light that the suspects were addicted to heroin and used to commit thefts for it. Sukhvir Singh has already been booked under the NDPS Act at a police station in Patiala. The police said further investigation was likely to lead to more such diisclosures.
